YOU!!! You just won't let sleeping dogs lay. Will you? Your supposed to wait until the week-end for that stuff! Ya know, I've had the C1 & B1 for about a week and haven't even tried them yet. I'm too pooped!!

ORIGINAL: Mod Bod

I have a SP C1. I've been happy with it. I'm not one for saying that this is a mic that can be used for everything but it's a good one to have in your collection.

My GT-66 is my favorite mic for my voice but I used the C1 occasionally for my vocals. It doesn't need much EQ to cut through a mix.

That's the way I looked at it too. When I first got mine (probably 5 years ago - it was one of the first gen C1's), I wasn't impressed at first. It just sounded too brittle to me. But I found that hi-end emphasis to be great at times.

I wanted to share something - I recently had my C1 refurbed by Studio Projects and it came back slightly warmer sounding. It's possible the earlier models were a lot crisper than current models. Anyone else been through this too?
