problem with mia midi soundcard

i am only getting sound out of the left channel when i have my speakers plugged into my mia midi sound card. the speakers have a 1/8 plug, so i put a 1/4 adaptor on it and plugged it in (to both outputs, one at a time) and only got sound out of the left channel. in searching through this forum, i read a post that stated that i needed to use an adaptor to plug in to BOTH outputs. i just ran out and got an adaptor that would accomidate that suggestion, but im still only getting sound out of the left channel. ive tried to contact echo (the company that makes the card) but havemt heard back from them yet.

any suggestions?

The 1/8-1/4 adapter you put in your sound card - was it a MONO or STEREO? If stereo - that's your problem. you need MONO adapters - TS ...NOT...TRS.

    thanks beagle

the 1/4 inch that are going into the card are mono...the line into the adaptor is stereo. just noticed on the package that the 1/4 female input into the adaptor is mono...and i have a stereo 1/4 plugged into the female....could that be it?
