The Buzz

I am using SONAR 6.2 and I am getting this weird sound occasionally when I stop then start again. It appears the audio engine is not stopping when the spacebar is pressed the first time. When I stop the audio engine this goes away. This appears to happen no matter how big the project is. Any ideas? Also, I just went from a P4 2.6 GHz processor and an ASUS P4P800 to the system below for different reasons but this problem followed along.

1. Hard Drives : C:\ Western Digital 160 gig / SATA 12 gig partition for OS and SONAR
D:\ Western Digital160 gig / SATA 2 Stores Picture Cache
E:\ Western Digital 300 gig / SATA 2 – SONAR Audio Data file
RAM : 2.0 gig Kingston DDR2

2. Processor / Speed: Pentium D 935/ 3.2 GHz 800 MHz FSB 2x2 L2 Cache

3. Motherboard: Gigabyte 965P-S3 – FSB 1333

4. Soundcard: Lynx Two B

I/O buffer = 512 and ASIO panel = 512

Thanks,

Can you try WDM drivers at all?

Are there and new driver and or firmware releases from Lynx you can download and try?

The WDM drivers don't work as well with the Lynx card. So, I am not sure if this occurs using WDM. Also, I have the latest and greatest drivers loaded from Lynx. The SONAR help says this will happen when there is a large project going but this seems to happen on any project.

    Thanks,
