Giga Studio and Garitan strings

Question? I've had it with Giga Studio, constantly crashing an otherwise perfect Sonar 6 producer. Do any of you folks know of sampler programs that will use Garitan Strings?

    Thank You for taking the time and adding your expertise to my frustration. I've priced Kontakt 2 in the $350 range. However, are you familiar with an earlier version so I can begin working with Kontakt and then upgrade to a more advanced model?

    Hi ComposerEd,

    I'm not aware of any cut-down version of it - except for the programs that actually use the Kontakt player like the Garritan Strings. If you have GigaStudio 1, then maybe you can consider getting the full Garritan Orchestra which is around $200 - and well worth it. Incidentally, the Kontakt 2 comes with a light version of the Vienna Orchestra(it's actually quite huge).

    Thank you for the reply...I managed to download a DEMO from the Native Instrument web site. It also has the manual in PDF for about 220 pages. That should give me enough info to make a decision. Thank you again.
    Do you have any compositions posted on web so as to get an idea of the potential?
