Music Creator 4

I have MC3 on my laptop and I just installed MC4 on my desktop. I'm using an Edirol UA-25 (in both computers). I can't use projects created on the MC3 on the MC4 because of some problem with the Edirol VST.
Regards.

Got me i never heard of MC4 until now, and there is no information on it anywhere yet. I won't be purchasing it as MC3 was buggy and there was never a bug fix for it.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

I never heard of MC4 either until yesterday, when I tried to download another MC3 but it was not available. Instead they have the MC4 but there is no information in the page, but at least it seems more complete than the MC3.

Until now I've had a good experience with the MC3...

    Mauricio speakest the truth, Robo.

But there are just some videos out on the cakewalk website. Nothing about system requirements or such. :-(

Thanks Urdypohh. Yesterday I installed again the edirol and I can hear the tutorial projects, so I supose it's not a system problem...

When I open a project created on the MC3 something appears about an audio missing file... the system gives me 3 options but nothing works.

When I get home today I'm going to try it again...

Yikes! I just bought MC 3 last month!

Is there any upgrade path for folks that just bought the previous version?

    Thanks,

I went through the whole overview and to the buy option and there is no upgrade link that I could find. I was thinking the same thing. At least it Vista compatible, Too bad most sound cards are still driverless. Oh well.........

    I'm no expert, but here's a thought.
Did you uninstall MC3 before installing MC4 ?
MC4 doesn't come with Edirol anymore, so if the project is looking for it..........just might be why it's bombing on you.
Load both MC3 and MC4 together and see if it works.
MC4 is using a newer, upgraded synth that actually sounds better, more realistic.

    Willy's got it..
Insert TTS-1 as a soft synth. It it the replacement for Edirol VSC. Change your MIDI track outputs to TTS-1.
It is a GM synth, so your banks and patches in the MIDI track should carry over.

    Willy:

I have the MC3 on my laptop and the MC4 on the desktop. I recorded a project on my laptop but I couldn't hear it on the MC4.

But you made my day. I changed the output to TTS-1 and it's done. Thanks to you too Robert.

    ¡Saludos!
