Event List?

When in the event view and you press shift and the space bar it is supposed to play the currently selected event. I can not hear anything but it does show the event list view current note move down 1. Can anyone get this to work?

Ps this is an audio track.

- this function is on page 302 in the Sonar 3 manual -

It says "If the event is a note event, it plays until you release the spacebar." Note that it doesn't say "wave event". If you notice the next paragraph, "Additional Event Information" it only discusses MIDI events.

Yeah.. this feature is a hold over from the days when cakewalk only did midi and there were no audio tracks. It's just for triggering midi events to verify it's making the note or sound you want. It's very handy when trying to find a wrong note in a midi file.

I dont mean to be thick headed - but -

It says in the paragraph under #4 "If the event is a note or Wave event, it plays until you release the mouse button."

I am looking in the events view at MIDI data.  I hold down the Cntrl plus the Shift key, then the space bar.... nothing is happening?  What's wrong.  Using Sonar X2
