cant select audio input..help

I have my mic going into a mixer and into my soundcard. The pc picks it up fine and I can record using programs like voice recorder and so on. I cant record anything in Sonar 6. When I click on the track and click on properties to select output I see 'none' which is checked and I see my sound card with an arrow for maybe a drop down menu. I can click on my card to select it but nothing happens. Thanks for any help.

Sonar users (since the late 50's) tend to buy the software + some good hardware at the same time.

Using a toy card (anything Creative) or onboard sound won't get you too far.

I know.. I know.. but it doesn't matter.

You want to select the input, not the output.

    Okay.
What kind of soundcard, what kind of connection to the mixer?
Can you hear playback of the sample songs from Sonar?

Im thinking you should have a good read of the manual.. Do some of the tutorials in there aswell. It should give you some of the stuff that your lacking - knowledge..

You do have a manual DONT YOU? - If not - WHY

    Sonar Professional | Reason 8 | Propellerheads Balance | Windows 10
