I have no synths.. should I?

A relatively new install of Music Creator 3 that I am just getting up to speed on... the manual says I should have some DirectX synths included. It says Dreamstation and VSC.. I don't have them nor do I see a separatre install for them on the CD.. am I missing something?

Thanks,

Jerry

Chordforge a week or two ago was having the same problem. We couldn't help him, and he zapped an email or 2 to CW, but he never posted whether he got it fixed.
It was a long time ago, but I think DreamStation and Edirol VSC all installed with the program.

Did you run the VST adapter when you installed? it would have asked if you wanted to do so when it started up. it scans for the VSTis and DXis in the locations provided and the default locations, but if you didn't run it then it won't find them and they won't be available to you. you can always run it anytime - I don't remember the menu option, or you can run it from your WINDOWS START PROGRAMS under CAKEWALK. after you run it, you have to close MC then reopen before you can see the VSTis and DXis.

    chordforge,

You should see them if you go to "insert" (from the top of the page in MC) and then from that drop down list go to "DXI Synths" -there should be a couple in there...... There is no separate install, they are part of the whole thing... Please let us know if u find them...... they are there

    Bestest,
