I Need Thee Every Hour: updated

This is another little arrangment of an old Hymn. i still have a little pitchyness in my voice but i think i'm improving. i got my live drums to sound better with massive EQ cuts around 3000 - 5000 Hz, & run completely dry with only room ambience. Wal Mart First Act acoustic guitar. Several tracks of Dimension and Juno D plus a track of Garritan Pocket Strings.

    Kevin,

You do a really great job with your midi/synth. when that started at 1:30 it sounded perfect. I'd like to hear you sing stronger for this song, it seems like you're holding back which makes the vocals kind of fall back behind the music and doesn't allow the harmonies to stand apart from the lead. (bare in mind, I may be totally wrong)

I'm listening on PC speakers which are probably not the best to critique on. You've made a very nice arangement and the sing seems to really sound full and together towards the second half (which is probably just due to the building up of the song in general). I love old hymns that are updated like this. It keeps their message going and alive. Thanks for working on music like this. I hope some of what I said is useful. -Matt

PS, The accoustic is a little tiny and could use some EQ adjustments. Also, It sounds like there is a chorus or flanger on the acoustic, if so, I'd like to hear what it sounds like without the effects on the acoustic.

    Kevin,
I think you have a pleasant voice. Just keep singing and it'll get even better over time. BTW -Is that a vintage Wal-mart guitar??

kayehl, I didn't read all the other comments, so if I echo someone else's ideas, forgive me. First of all I love what you did with this, really sounds good. At first the guitar sounds awful thin, maybe add some fx to it just at the beginning where you're going acoustic solo. For some reason, I just feel that if you raised the whole song up a couple of keys it would sound even better. You've got a great voice and this song just seems to scream for a higher key to really bring it out. Very good job, very full sound.
