Noobie here needs help

How do I add an input?! I can't record anything because when I go to select an input it says there aren't any...

    which version of MC are you using? what sound card do you have? what OS? did you run the wave profiler when you started MC for the first time?

    Music Creator 3, no idea about the sound card, Windows Vista, and no to the wave profiler

    My understanding is that MC3 is not compatible with Vista and that you will need MC4.

    You still should at least try the wave profiler.

    without running the wave profiler you will not get the sound card to set up for MC to give you any inputs - it's a necessary step. Bill's right, tho, it's not likely you'll get MC3 to work completely correctly with Vista - it's not compatible. you have to have MC4 for that.
