Music Creator v2

I love it and I don't want to leave it. However, I got a new computer with Vista and I just discovered that several of the effects, specifically compression, won't come up when I click on it. After trying several things to make it work (Help section, uninstalling, reinstalling etc.) I'm starting to think it's Vista, because everything else works great. So my questions are: Is music creator 4 Vista compatible and would it work with the files I'm currently using in v2? Is there a good free compression plug-in that I can use in the meantime because I don't even have $40 bucks and I have a bassline I'd really like to compress.

    yes, MC4 is VISTA compatible, and it SHOULD work with all of your current MC2 songs. the problem may arise where you were using certain plugins from MC2 which are no longer compatible/available with MC4 and would have to substitute them with new MC4 plugins.

    Thanks for the info. Must be a good compressor, Wickerman suggested it too. Time to hit the street corner and get my $40 dollars.

    MC4 has a decent lineup of plugs from what i see.

    I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
