Moving ALL MIDI Events

Been having this problem consistently and haven't found a resolution in the manual - I "think" I'm doing everything correctly. I want to move (slide) a section of MIDI data by a certain amount so I highlight all data including, I'm assuming, the controller data (pedal down, pedal up). After the drag and drop only the note data has moved - the controller data stays put.

I get the same result in both the Piano Roll view and the PRV mode in Track view.

What am I missing here?

Cheers,
Curt

The result of the slide depends on which view you're sliding. If you use the upper portion of the piano roll view, then you'll get only the notes moved. The best thing is to go to the track view and select the section on the MIDI clip itself. Selecting the MIDI clip section will automatically select evreything included there, including the controller data.

That's just it... it's NOT doing it! When I select the data, all note AND controller data become highlighted (I can see them change color) but when I drag the data the controllers ALWAYS stay put.

As I said, this happens in both PRV mode as well as in the track view (non-PRV).

    Still stumped...

    Whoopsie!

Seems I wasn't in, what is FORMALLY known as, the track view! I was referring to the piano roll view (big white grid with green blocks as data) as track view. When I got THAT straight and opened up the Track View and then disabled PRV mode from said Track View I was able to select the period of MIDI data in the time ruler and then drag the whole lot of it either which way.

    Thank you Boten.

Curious though... why only in this view are you able to move controller data?

    Cheers,
    Curt
