How to make Sonar 7 talk directly to my sound module?

I am trying to get Sonar 7 to talk to my USB audio interface. My system has an ASIO driver for that interface. Nevertheless, Sonar 7 seems to want to talk to it through ASIO4all, even though I have tried to disable ASIO4all for that interface.

It shows up as one of the ASIO devices I can use, but it is grayed out. Any suggestions for how to talk to it?

    Disable ASIO4All driver in SONAR
    Close and restart SONAR
    Select "real" ASIO driver

The thing is, I want to use it for my built-in sound card but not for the USB module.

Why would you want to use your internal soundcard? If its for the onboard GM midi sounds - Get rid of it and use the Sonar GM module (forget what is called - TTS i think)

If your using it for other reasons. I have no answer.

Why would I want to use my internal soundcard? Because otherwise, I have two choices: (1) Route *all* sounds from my machine to the external sound module, and route them back to the internal soundcard when I don't want to use the external soundcard, or (2) Swap back and forth between two sets of headphones. I don't want to use speakers because that will distract my wife, who is often at her computer ten feet away.
