Audio Kontrol 1 and Sonar PE

Greetings,

Can anyone tell me how to make the rotary knob of the Audio Kontrol 1 function as a jog wheel? In the control field of the Audio Kontrol 1, it is possible to assign the knob to send either midi events or keyboard commands, but I can't figure out what command it should send, or how to configure Sonar to respond to the incoming info. There is neither a preset in the AK1 for Sonar, nor is there one in the ACT/Generic Controller surface for the AK1.

Any help would be vastly appreciated.

So, I've wasted most of a day trying to get this to work, to no avail. The Audio Kontrol from NI can be configured to send either midi data or key commands. It has a rotary knob and three buttons. The Rotary cell in the ACT map responds to turning the knob, but it only sends pan info to track one, and I want to move the now time like a jog wheel. The second problem is that the ACT cells for buttons don't respond at all. When I double click them, no midi learn appears. When I program the AK1 to send key commands by pressing its buttons, they work, but Sonar's playback becomes extremely erratic.

Has anybody out there gotten the AK1 controller to work with Sonar?

Am I phrasing this question wrong, or is everybody just too busy with Sonar 7 to think about this now?

Rather then starting another exact thread. Has anyone had success with this since 4/2007?

Did you ever get this worked out? I am looking to get my Audio Kontrol 1 to control Sonar as well... Been at it for about an hour now and still no response from the rotary or the buttons? I have set the Controller editor to Audio Kontrol 1 and Mackie control but Sonar just isn't seeing it. I am getting audio thew the Audio Kontrol 1 with no issues? HELP!
