melodyne VST problem
I installed Sonar 6, and then installed the Celemony Melodyne plugin. The comapny says in order for it to work, I need to go to the Sonar plugin manager and set the Melodyne plugin to time-base. When I go to Tools, Sonar plugin manager, there is no VST audio plugin option, nor is there anything about the melodyne plugin. I can insert the plugin in a track and try to record, but the red arrows do not chase and there's no orange color and it says its waiting for audio. Somehow its not recognized as a VST plugin? What do I do? thanks, Joel

Go to your plugin manager. Highlight Melodyne under VST plugins. Select plugin properties. Check the appropriate box.

Or just open the plugin and click on the properties tab, select "enable as time-based effect" You'll need to capture the audio within melodyne before you edit it, kindof a PITA, other than that it is a great tool!

Thanks so much for replying to my plea, BUT... Alas, as I mentioned in my message, there is no "VST plugins" in my plug-in manager, and the plugin itself has no properties tab. :(

Hi Joel, The Melodyne plug-in dll is located at c:\program files\celemony\melodyne plugin\melodyne plugin\Melodyne plugin.dll on my system Check the folder is being scanned by the plug-in manager (options button) if it's not on the list, add it manually and the click the 'Scan VST plug-ins' button Under Plug-in properties, set 'enable as plug-in', 'configure as tempo based effect', 'enable delay compensation' and 'enable mono processing'

Guys - I already added the melodyne folder to the VST plugin list and re-scanned for VST plugins. There is no sign of VST audio anywhere in the plugin folder, and no sign of a VST melodyne anywhere. I am able to load the plugin into a track, so something got installed, but it doesnt do anything. There is no properties tab on the plugin itself. Its probably something simple, like some option somewhere needs to be set properly for me to get to VST plugins.

jgolden I had a wierd problem like this once wiht another plug in. I renamed it, rescanned it and it showed up. I never figured out why it didn't work with the proper name. I named mine Bubba. Pretty close to Ronin (the real name). I thought about Dave.

I'm having a similiar problem. In my case, I see an audio signal in the green host box , push transfer but the arrows don't change from red and nothing shows up in melodyne. I don't see a time base option, only tempo. thx bob jgolden I installed Sonar 6, and then installed the Celemony Melodyne plugin.
