r first day with sonar 7....

Today, I decided to start using sonar 7.

I have 6.2.1 on the machine as well, and its been really stable.

I had a project which i had maybe 10 or 12 audio tracks in it....no synths etc...

I was using audio snap on a guitar track, and blammo, sonar had a dummy spit, but it created a recovery file, i was de-enablin auto snap at the time, to hear how the track sounded without it.

Then a second time, I was doing something, cant remember specifically what, but certainly something I do in 6 all the time, and Sonar Just disappeared completely...no warning message no nothing, just gone....

I have the sonar 7.01 update installed...

I think I might just use 6.2.1 for a while longer...In some ways I am wondering if I should just stay at 6.2.1, rather than stuff around trying to find out whats what.....8)...

I will continue to just work on this one project in 7 and complete the rest in 6.

Why would sonar just poof...gone.....and do no error message whatsoever....

anyone else experiencing stuff like this?

I mean, I want to use 7, but to be honest, I dont want to muck around, having crashes..possibly losing hours and hours of work etc etc etc.....

Try turning auto-save off. I find it causes those flash crashes and I'm still on version 5.2.
I just remember to hit CTRL-S (or file/save) an awful lot so I loose little. Also, having 6,
on the same machine as 7, that is a possible conflict maybe? I'd never run two versions
on the same machines so I don't know. I didn't upgrade to 6 since it had just those few
improvements over 5. 7 has enough that I'll upgrade once it's at 7.1 or 7.2 most likely.
5 does what I need to last me until that happens some time in the Winter or whenever.
