Notation Software

I recently bought Sibelius G7 notation software to help keep my band's music organized, but as soon as I bought and installed it I found that its relatively glitchy (ie, quitting out in the middle of an action, etc.) and doesn't have some of the features that even the free Power Tab guitar notation software has, for example muting notes.

Does anyone have a suggestion for some similar notation software that I could buy with an expanded number of features? The most important detail is that it can notate drums as well. I'm looking in a price range up to about $125.

i've never used notepad but i used to use finale (back when it was coda music technologies or whatever). the program was always solid, but 2002 is the last version i ever used.

    important detail
I downloaded PrintMusic 2008. I don't do TAB but the notation seems quite solid.

finale for the price is kinda like waves products - ridiculously overblown. Unless you need to write music with adjusting the spacing between the dots, thickness of your note flags, and you want to compound signatures, there's no reason to get it.

finale is excellent notation software, if that's what you want. i wouldn't call it overblown unless there's another product that can match it for the ability to precisely create sheet music. if i ever decided to make professional sheet music that's the product i would buy. if your needs are simple though, finale is kind of overkill.
