Syncing track and console view
why oh why? when I click a channel in the track view, the console view track doesn't automatically highlight? I want to click on a track in the track view, then goto the same track on the console view....can't do it here! What happens when you have 45 tracks to organize? and when I select a track on my MCU, the console view doesn't reflect the selection either? am I just dumb? Is there a preference setting I'm missing? Did Cakewalk completely miss this simple/basic feature? please help!!

Not sure why that doesn't happen, but the opposite works... for example, click on a volume track fader in the Console view and that track is highlighted in the Track view. Scott -- Scott R. thanks G! hmmm...kind of makes more sense to first look at your arrangement in the track view, and not the console view (considering the track view is what people look at most)

That does seem odd. I, my self, am constantly toggling between the two views. It would be nice if it worked in both views.

i've asked for a button in console view that would open that strip's track view. i wish there was a way to create a track-specific composite screen, consisting of only the selected track's console strip, track parameters...whatever else might be useful. this would make things simpler and prevent accidents (which i'm sometimes prone to). I also want to lock tracks, so nothing inadvertent can happen.

i wish there was a way to create a track-specific composite screen, consisting of only the selected track's console you can try the track manager and you also can customize what you see in the console view. Is this not enough customization for you. Sonar seems to mimick there console view of a regular mixing board with channel strips in each channel. What is not good about that Cj I also want to lock tracks, so nothing inadvertent can happen this can also be done already...

i wish there was a way to create a track-specific composite screen, consisting of only the selected track's console strip, track parameters...whatever else might be useful that is what i said...the console view is fine, i'm speaking of a screen that pulls together the different views for a given track...say, track view, console strip, event list...something along those lines. as for locking tracks...i can lock clips or hide tracks...how can i lock all the controls?
