here it is

here's a track i made last month. it was ramadan in dubai and all the clubs are close. that means, no nightly gigs for me. so i had the time to finish this idea. this track was made with no financial thing in mind. just something for me i guess. i hope you all enjoy it.

The link points to your update page, which is why nobody can get to your song.

    Here's a better link

    Nice headphone song.

I like that. I'm not much of an electronica/dance type listener, but I liked that. It's well mixed and there's plenty going on to keep the interest. The flute was a little harsh in a few places on my system, but it may just be the crappy computer speakers I was listening on. The bass part was really nice. I assume it wasn't a real bass, right? But it works well.

thanks droddey. glad you like it. the fretless bass part is just the roland tts that comes with sonar 6. in fact, most of the percussions and drum parts are from tts. the strings, ep, organ, are from komplete 4. but i had the electronica thing to suggest that i'm not going for the real feel. sort of like a safety net. hehe. the flute might standout if your speaker system doesn't have a subwoofer. the bass drum i used sort of eats everything up. but it sounds fine when played side by side to some cafe del mar or mushroom jazz recordings. i might re-EQ and try different compressor settings to the flute track if other guys around here suggest so. thanks again.
