Record button!

I know this maybe the dummest question ever , but i cant press my record button , i have all the synths and everything loaded up and sound is coming out of my speakers , and everything seems to be working okey , but i cant press the record button because its no selectable , its like its pressed in already but it doesnt record my midi notes when i play my keyboard!
Am i doing something wrong or am i just a moron ?
(sorry for my english)

    Where i can do that ? sorry for dumb question but i was using reason just recently so im just finding out how stuff works in sonar!

    Press F1

    click the index tab
    type what you want to search for in the little box ( 'record' )

    all the secrets to sonar are there
