sad day for music

I just found out that Hughie Thomasson from The Outlaws and Lynyrd Skynyrd had passed on.What a sad day for music.I saw the Outlaws numerous times in the 70's and the shows were great!!!Was hoping to see them again when they reformed but now that chance is gone forever. So heres to you Hughie,May You Rest in Peace,Your in heaven now jamming with all the lost true southern rockers.

Yes, I saw that, he wasn't that old either was he? Sad news. I wore out my copy of 'Green Grass & High Tides', that was great stuff.

yes, that is sad. i think every cover band in america HAS to learn FREEBIRD or they can't play in a bar - so pretty much everyone has been impacted by this! what did he die from?

    That is sad.
When the Outlaws were fairly new, I saw them at a local college with 38 Special. They set the stage up in the gym, and I was maybe 12 feet from the stage. Good times, and good memories.
    Farewell Hughie.
