Bouncing VSTi/DXi before bouncing mix?

Quick question; does anyone know if it's possible to actually bounce the main mix and get everything to sound without first manually bouncing each and every software instrument (or freezing them)? I'm sure it's possible but everytime I just cave and do it by hand because I can't find where to "tick the box" so to speak. Ideally I obviously would like to just bounce the main mix. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

If you're using softsynths, you don't need to bounce any of them to an audio track. Just select all of the MIDI tracks AND the corresponding tracks with the softsynths (hold down CTRL when selecting multiple tracks), and then File-Export-Audio and you'll get all the softsynth tracks.
