Hey Tom - another cool tune of yours. I really like it! It reminds me of a British band from the 80s: 'Style Council'. Smooth jazzy rhythm and a real neat vocal treatment.
The whole song seems a bit hollow though, maybe lacking a bit of depth. I would bring up all guitars. Also, the sweepy synth should be stronger, imo, to fill out the space a bit better. Last thing I've noticed is that this song's lacking some high frequencies. Everything seems to be clustered in the mid frequencies. Try playing with your EQ and boost some Highs a little, just to give the whole song a nice sparkle.
    Good job!
    Heinz.

    That was enjoyable, Tom.

You know what would be cool? (At least it sounds cool to me right now in my turkey-induced stupor) Put some delay and reverb across the whole mix to make it sound like it was recorded live in a club.

The guitar solo already sounds like it's coming from the bathroom next door, so that's a good start. But the drums sound too dry alongside it. If they had a little delay going on so that they, too sounded like they were in a real space, you might get a neat live feel. Or maybe not. But that's what I'd try.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I'm goin' to check the bathroom next door....I think that SOB stole me guitar!..lol

Heinz - Very good call I'd say. I didn't at all address any eq issues and with my cheezey monitors it's hard to pick out losses (not that I was even looking).

Bit - I'm going to give that a whirl and see how it comes out...in fact this might addess the "Depth" issue that Heinz was talkin about. BTW I with you as far as the turkey-stupor....didn't even mess with any wine, didn't need it as I was on a Pumkin-pie-high....lol

    Hi Tom,

This is a cool song with some interesting twists. Nice eerie sound choices in there - I love that spooky ghost-voice panning around at the end

Mix sounds a little hollowed-out, if that makes sense - vocals and snare (snare a little too far left maybe?) are right up there, but everything else seems subdued - could be what you're going for though.

after listening this morning with a turkey-hangover.....look like that last shot of eggnog got the best of me....hopefully the live re-mix will fill it out a bit....but I'm sure it'll bring it's own issues.!! Thanks again james!
