Unable to use EZ Drummer with Sonar 7 PE

Hello.

I am a new user to Sonar and from what I've experimented with so far, it's great. I'm having one issue, however, and that is that I cannot use my EZ Drummer collection.
I have EZ Drummer and all of it's expansions but I registered them all in Cubase. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not. Under the Global menu in Sonar, the Cakewalk VST folder as well as my EZ Drummer folder are both indicated, but in the plug-in manager, the EZ Drummer is not listed (I've checked each category of plug-ins). It also not listed on the Synth Rack.

Does anyone know what's going on?

..another question that I am thinking of is whether or not there is a program similar in function to EZ Drummer but with guitar or bass. Any answer would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JC

Mine shows under Insert soft synth - vst plugins - ezdrummer

I installed mine as VST under Sonar 6
7.0.1 showed them in the same place after I installed it

    I take it yours doesn't?

Sonar 7 is the first version of Sonar I have ever used. I've been with Cubase until now. The folder in which I have EZ Drummer is it's own and it is displayed in the VST Folders in the Global menu, but is not displayed in the Plug-In manager.

When installing, Point the VST to Cakewalk VST folder then scan the plug-in again and it should be there.

So, remove it from the list, rescan what's there, and it should become visible?

    [EDIT: What I'm seeing.. here's a URL..]

(The scan VST plug-ins on start-up was unchecked only during the session to take pictures.)

Do a hard disk search on "ezdrummer.dll" and wherever you find it, make sure you have an entry in the Sonar VST search directories that corresponds to it. If EZD is setup ok, then all should work after that.

That worked perfectly. Much thanks, Steven. [EDIT: Got the latency working the way I wanted it.]
