Mackie Lexan Overlay - Older Mackie Control Universal

Anyone know where I can find a Sonar overlay for my older Mackie Control Universal (not the new USB one)? Mackie used to have a form to fill out to order one on thier website but no longer do.

Anyone have an extra? I'd buy it...

Well seeing as they provide one each for all DAW's in the case when you first buy it, logically speaking the best place to ask this question would be the Logic or Cubase Forums.

Everyone in here with a Mackie will have used the SOnar overlay and have spare Cubase ones, so the reverse logic must be true in the forums of other DAWs.

    Thats what I would try.

I called up Mackie support (UK) and they said they had one left at the time, and that they would send it to me free (even the postage!). But yes a good call may be to post over at the Cubase/Logic/ or even more efficient Gearslultz or SOS forums some one must have a Sonar one their willing to sell.

Thanks. The form on the Japan site doesn't work. And I considered printing one myself but I knew that I would not be able to laminate it and cut the holes out well enough.

In case anyone else needs one, I found this site: http://www.loudtechinc.com/corecgi/forms/PartsRequest.aspx to order the Lexan overlay. It arrived a month or so ago.

Thanks for that link...The one on Mackie's site is dead...I got to order an overlay for Sonar this evening as well as the last one for Cubase (Even though I don't use Cubase but in case I try it again someday...)

    But thanks again...

I don't know if you know that on this forum I have been a strong MC promoter. I have been looking for a way to get an overlay for another app. When I got the MC I was one of the first to have one. At that time no overlays came with the MC. They were still something you had to order from Mackie. The one I need now was not even thought about back then. Your link has been extremely useful to me in seeing if I can still get the one I need. Thank you so much for your work in finding this and sharing it with us.

    Best

    Greetings,

I'm in the same situation here. I need the overlays. Someone posted that they had PDFs of them, I'd love to get an email of the PDFs to print out. I really need the Pro Tools one especially. Or, if any one has the actual Lexan one for sale, I'd gladly buy it from you.

    Cheers, Dan
