question for owners of MOTU Ultralite(+4/-10 input levels)

I posted this question at UnicorNation, but there doesn't seem to be much traffic there.

I just bought an Ultralite and am quite pleased with it. I do have a question... The manual says that you can set input levels for +4 or -10 using the front panel or the CueMix software mixer. I can't seem to find that choice anywhere. The gain seems to be enough to handle -10, but is there actually a setting?

I don't have an Ultralight, but I have its sibling, an 828 MkII. I use the CueMix application to set input levels. Much more convenient than using the converter's munchkin knobs.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

The Ultralite manual mentions making the change on the front panel OR in CueMix. I've looked in CueMix, but no luck there either. Do you see a button or something in CueMix to change the input type on the 828 Mk II?

Hmmmm... i've never used those buttons in cuemix... I've just used cuemix strictly for monitoring, and just adjusted the gain on the preamps... So, even though the faders don't affect what's going into Sonar, you're saying the +4/-10 toggle switch does? I've had the Motu 828 MkII for years now and don't think I ever knew that...

One of my Behringer ADA8000 8-channel preamps is running into the 8 analog inputs on the back of the MOTU, so i've just used the gains on the ADA8000....

    So much to learn... :)
