LAPTOPS!

I need a laptop that has 2 firewire connections and generally a good laptop so far i have failed to see any with more than 1 firewire input. Suggestions?

I'd suggest using only 1 firewire device.. and that would be your audiointerface..
most of the external firewire hd's have also an usb-connector.. take that one instead..
it's not suggested to use another firewire device anyway if you already use it for an audiointerface!
I've never seen a laptop with 2 firewire connections neither.. not even a mainboard..
so if you really really need a second firewire connector you'd have to buy a pcmci-firewire-card..

I am using a FW-1884 firewire audio interface off of the laptops firewire i/o and a cardbus firewire for my x-hd. This works very well. The cardbus firewire card was under $20.

This appears to work as designed and is actually a pretty cool feature.
