problem with Studio Instruments

Hey I am kind of new to using MIDI and softsynths and all that, and I just got SI about a week ago. I am having a problem with it when used as a plug-in with Music Creator 4. When I create a MIDI track (not in Cakewalk; with another program called Guitar Pro) and import it into MC4, and then insert SI Drums as a softsynth and try to play my MIDI track through it, nothing plays. It has worked a few times, but it usually doesn't, and I don't think I have done anything different. I set the input on the MIDI track to Omni, and the output SI Drums. It lets me drag one of the sample beats from SI Drums onto my MIDI track, but it won't play my own imported MIDI. I try the same thing with Cakewalk TTS 1 as the output and it works with those drums, but I can't get it to work with the SI Drums.. what could I be doing wrong?

I forgot to mention that often after I imort a MIDI to MC4 and try to play it through SI Drums, not only do I not hear anything, but after a few minutes I cannot even hear anything when clicking on the GUI drums in the SI drum kit view. It's like after I try to play one of my own midi patterns through SI, it stops working completely. I must be doing something wrong???

Check the MIDI channel of your drum track. Some MIDI instrument use channel 10 for drums by default. HTH.
