Session Drummer misses first note of a pattern

I am using Session Drummer (duh) and in order to provide an infill toward the end of a measure, I place an even at note 24 (stop playing patterns). I then place events at the notes that correspond to the actual drums I want to play. At the beginning of the next measure, I then place an event to start the pattern again.

This works....up to a point. Session Drummer misses the first note of the new pattern Any restart after an interruption mucks up the start of the new pattern.
Has anyone struck this?
