BFD V2

Hi
just wondered if anyone had any views on BFD V2, ease of use, sounds, grooves etc against Ezdrummer and Addictive Drums.
Love to hear from you if you have as I was going to order V2 - could never really get on with V1.
Thanks
Nigel

I just purchased BFD2 this weekend. I am very happy with it. I can't compare it against any others beside session drummer. It is very easy to use out-of-the-box but their are a lot of advanced controls that will take time to learn.

I am told by a terrific musician friend who takes these matters very seriously who just bought BFD2 after using Battery for some time in his studiothat BFD2 is in a different league altogether. No contest - BFD every time.

Sorry about delay getting back on this but I've had an email nightmare in Cape Town and only just got back up! Well it is holiday season I suppose but.......
Sounds like they have made this a lot easier to use - did you ever use the first version?
Love to hear any more thoughts on this - it is an expensive package so would like to feel confident before purchase.
    Thanks
    Nigel

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but any comparisons with BFD and BFD XFL would be appreciated too! I don't think I need any *more* kits, but if they ones there sound dramatically better, then I might go for it...

Just purchased BFD2 last week, it is great piece of software, you will need to experiment a bit with the buffer / load variables to get the best performance for your system configuration, it's very memory hungry. I have upgraded from 2GB to 3GB last night (weiil 3.15GB, out of 4GB installed and usable on my 32 bit XP DAW) and the difference is tangible.

Unless you are iching to buy something, you'd might take a look at the new Superior 2.0 by Toontracks. It will be out later in the year and it will be very intuitive to use as well as powerful.

Dave Modisette ... rocks a Purrrfect Audio Studio Pro rig.

    Dave
Thanks - having tried BFD before I found it very non intuitive, so that's why I was aksing what people thought of the new release.
Since posting the original request, I have downloaded and installed the Groove Monkey stuff for my Addictive Drums.
These are really good so I'm probably OK for a while - so I think I might just do what you suggest and wait. I can then look at BFD / Superior together before deciding.
    Thanks for the tip
