TTS-1 Video

This is one of many videos that Cakewalk has posted in the Sonar forum.
It is a quick overview of TTS-1, but it may help to answer some of the questions that have been coming up lately. There are several other good videos here, that will help you with MC, even though they are not directly related to MC.
Grab some popcorn, and enjoy the flix!

Bob - did you d/l the TTS-1 help files that I uploaded on my website? one of the other forum members said it asked for a password and I wanted someone to confirm that because it doesn't do it for me.

    Beagle,
This is really strange. I didn't get a password prompt, but the downloaded zip. file extracted to an RAR, which extracted to the html document.
I didn't think you could do that.
On further review, this same html document seems to be already in my program files, but the TTS-1 Help button doesn't link to it.
    By following this path:

    C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Dxi\TTS-1\Help\index_e.htm

I was able to open the help file.
If I go to the folder where I extracted the downloaded file, I can open the same html help file.
FWIW it is a detailed manual, and is worth the effort to get to it.

so are you saying that the help file IS already there, but TTS-1 won't load it from the help button?

yes, it is an HTML file and it brings up the help links in the browser, but mine works from the HELP button in the TTS-1. I press the help button and it pops up IE with the help links.

are you using IE? maybe that's what the difference is.

Hey I was just about to ask for some TTS-1 help, I'm looking at beginning to try to use it for the first time this weekend, and here's something I can really sink my teeth into! Is there a way to download this video file rather than having to watch it over and over again on the web?

Technology drives me to drink. Fortunately, it's a short drive..

wow I just finished watching the TTS-1 video and I finally think I GET IT. This is so powerful, I'm sure looking forward to using it. I think I agree with the final words on the video - "bread and butter sounds". I think this video did a lot of de-mystifying for me, and finally it was one video that actually went through the controls and showed me enough to actually USE it myself. Thanks for the link!!

Did you download MC4, or buy the boxed version? I'm not positive, but I think many of these video's are on the disc if you got the boxed version.
If you did the download, then, yes, you will need to watch it on the web.

I bought the download version - darn! I didn't know I missed out by not getting boxed version. Oh well, it's all cool I already have picked up a lot from just one watch. Just imagine what 3-4 more times will do.... or was that, after 3-4 more beers.... I get mixed up sometimes..... LOL

Okay, here is the dumb question of the day. The TTS-1 interface opens when you insert it. How do you access the interface after that? I can't find anything. I did download the help file, but I had to take the extenison off (everything past help). If I can figure out how to open the interface, I'll let you know if it works or not!

you can click in the view> synth rack. click on it and the synth rack opens....it shows all synths that are inserted into your project...click on TTS in the rack and the synth "mixer" window opens up....

BTW....TTS is an amazing synth...there is a whole lot you can do with it from that mixer view.

you can also delete the synths from the rack view as well to remove them from your project.

Thanks Guitarhacker. I didn't even think of looking at the rack, probably cause I don't know much about the rack yet.

    Thanks.

I bought the boxed version. I just checked and the videos are not there. Just the files need to do the tutorials. So, you didn't miss anything.
