TonePort UX2 only works for specific user

Currently I have the default Windows (XP) playback device set to Line6 TonePort UX2, so that all playback (e.g. from WM Player, QuckTime, etc.) goes through the TonePort. This all works fine for me, but when anyone else logs on to the PC (it's not only my DAW - it's also the family PC), they get no sound whatsoever. Is this because the TonePort is installed in such a way as to be user-specific? If so, is there a way to change this?

    Thanks CJ.

I hadn't realised that selecting a playback device is per-user rather than for all users (seems obvious now). It was defaulting to Realtek. I had previously disabled Realtek, but I recently re-enabled it because my other soundcards do not allow me to record streaming audio.

you should be able to record streaming audio with the AP192. I have a delta 44 and I can record streaming audio. it's probably just a matter of how you have your m-audio mixer set up and your inputs for your recording.

Kev, you're much better off using the Toneport as your soundcard. Especially if the other option is REaltek.

Kev, you're much better off using the Toneport as your soundcard...

With Sonar, I only ever use the TonePort. Aside from with Sonar, I use mainly the TonePort and sometimes the AP192. Other users of my PC use the AP192. I only use the Realtek for capturing streaming audio.

I have not managed to do this successfully yet, but if you say it's possible then I will attempt it again.
