how much is this gibson worth?

I am thinking about getting this Gibson Les Paul xr-2 from the early '80s. Does anybody know how much could be worth? it is in mint condition.
if anybody has the blue book of guitars, can you please look that up for me?

    It's worth is how badly you want it...Have you played it? Do you know if all the controls are working properly?

    There are a lot of questions that you should consider...I'm guessing the asking price is probably in the $2,000 range (if it's the real deal) so I would be very careful...

    no I haven't tried the thing. but they guy doesn't seem to know how much is worth or do that much research. and he said it's been sitting in the case for quite a while. I just wanna know its market value so I can low ball him.. LMAO :D

    A retailer of vintage guitars will probably ask around $2200 or more if it's in mint condition...
