why do the music slow down

Hey, I'm new to mc4! My problem is that when I try to record more track next to existing track the tempo slows down. do anyone know what is going on.

    Need all the info you can give us on your system first - PC specs, RAM, processor, OS, etc. plus soundcard model and driver mode.

    First guess would be a mis-matched sample rate though, check that the sample rate in MC is the same as your soundcard.

    Ok here is what i know about my computer
    Toshiba A135
    intel processor t2080 @ 173 GHz
    memory 1014 mb
    32 bit operating sys
    windows vista
    realtek hd sound card

    try changing to MME driver mode:
    OPTIONS>AUDIO>ADVANCED>DRIVER MODE = MME
    close MC
    restart MC
    let the wave profiler run

    try changing your project to 48kHz

    you'll probably have to do another recording just to see if it works

    thanks for the help! I went to the website that you suggested and downloaded the drivers I tried a zip file and the exe. file but I still faced with the problem
