where is Rapture 1.1.1 and also...

Is it just me or is anyone else having some big problems with Rapture. It seems that when it tries to load more complex sfz files(i.e. a large # of programs from expansion packs 1 and 2) issues range from stuck notes to full out crashing my computer. dont know if 1.1.1 update is supposed to fix any bugs but there do seem to be alot of posts on here about problems with Rapture. This is Cake's flagship Synth. C'mon, fix the damn thing, it rules.

    I am anxiously waiting for the update myself. I was very excited to hear it announced at namm thinking I will finally be able to use Rapture on my MBP. I also wanted to check out the Moog Exp but it is pointless to buy a product I know I can't use.

    Being a 1/4 of the way through February now I am a bit saddened and disappointed that it has still not been released. Even a quick message form someone at cake saying we're still working on it - it'll be here soon would be better than nothing. Late January has come and gone.

    I had to revert to version 1.0 as Rapture 1.1 was a disaster for me in that it stopped working completely in Chainer (VSTi stand-alone host and sub-host in SONAR) and also doesn't work at all at high latency settings even when used directly in SONAR. I hope these things get fixed soon -- although it's already been quite a while.

    You're right, things did seem to run a bit smoother in version 1.0. maybe thats why the update is taking longer, CW may be addressing these issues since alot of them have come to surface just recently. Also, I have the demo version of Chainer and I love it. I have never spent the 60 dollars on it for various reasons. Is it stable? and does it eat up alot of extra cpu? I've been waiting for the recommendation from someone who has it before i buy it.

    They may be holding it back to fix the Mac Leopard install issue that appeared when they released the DPro update. That's wild speculation though. Don't know for sure. Hoping it will be any day now.

    Late January ended 2 weeks ago.
    Leopard 1.5.2 has already been released.

    Still no word from cake about the update.

    I would just like to be able to use rapture here. Would it really be so hard for someone at cake to enlighten us?

    Yeah, this is getting quite frustrating. I've gone ahead and moved on to Leopard (10.5.2). Sure would be nice to hear something from Cakewalk on this...

    a hotfix would help soothe half thier users...while they work on the mac issue, it is soooo ridiculous that I can't use a program I paid for. A hotfix for us can't even be an 8 hour day to adjust an installer....

    Chainer is by far the most stable host I have ever owned and I've bought most of the ones that have been released on the PC. It runs VST instruments far more reliably than Sonar does, for example. In fact, I almost always run VST instruments as instances in Chainer inside of Sonar rather than directly in Sonar, itself, because Chainer makes it easy to layer them, switch between them without re-wiring tracks and often will properly run a VST instrument that Sonar cannot handle. Chainer is very lightweight and takes up almost no extra cpu. I typically use a dozen or more instances of Chainer in every Sonar project. Using Chainer inside of Sonar is just awesome.

    To add more to what James said;

    Chainer's a great tool; I've had my license for six years or so. However, the developer isn't doing updates for it anymore, and with recent versions of some of my plugins
    (such as Rapture and Virsyn's TERA), it just doesn't work. Surprisingly enough though, it does work with the one VST3 plugin I have (Virsyn's MATRIX).
