Dimension 1.3 working in Logic on OSX 10.5.2

I just reinstalled Dim 1.3 today (had to use the 7za hack to get the data off the dvd's). I re-ran AU validation and this time it was working!!!

Not sure if it was the 10.5.2 update that made it better.

Anyone have rapture working now? I can't get the patch browser to open!!!!

Since we still don't have the proper Leopard DimensionPro update that can be installed on a fresh system :

What is that 7za hack and does DimPro work 100% with that install method?

you have to search online for a mac compatible "7za" binary

1.) copy dim pro disk to desktop
2.) find the 7za on the disk and replace with the one you got online
3.) install should not hang now

It has been working fine for me, however i can't say i tried every single patch

It seemed like I could install everything using the 7za trick, and did the 1.3 update as well as the 2 expansion pack iinstalls.
BUT when I try to select many of the sounds I get "multisample not found".

I found the Dimension Pro Content/Multisamples folder on the hard disk, but it seems to have only samples from one of the install disks - and none of the expansion multisamples.

Actually, it seems like only the multisamples from disk 1 are installed, based on the archive names.

you have to install the second dim pro disk! that one should work without doing the hack copy routine. did you do that?

I did install the second disk, but I did replace the 7za in that as well. I'll try without doing that.

    How about those expansion packs?

When I try to install the disc 2 without replacing 7za, I get "An error occurred that prevented the installation from completing." after a while.

Seriously, Cakewalk should fix this soon...

they all installed fine after i had installed all the disk1 and 2 of the original

but i did just install the second disk directly from the drive. not sure if that is the difference.

i will double check my expansions in logic right now. one sec

Were you able to install the expansions (so that they work)?

It's really strange. I do seem to have gotten the Programs folders for the Expansion Packs, but nothing except the 1st install disc content in the Multisamples folder.

you can directly copy the multisamples folder from the second disk if you want! thats prob what you should try next. also if you can look into the dmg of the expansions, you might be able to do the same for those!

Ok, I'll try that - but aren't the multisamples in a compressed format (7za?) on the install disc?

EDIT: that didn't work. I guess I'll have to wait for the proper fix from Cakewalk.
