Considering Dimension Pro, any examples?

Hey guys, I am thinking about purchasing Dimension Pro. I am looking to do orchestral
arrangements and was wondering how Dimension stacked up. I was wondering if anyone out
there had some examples they could post.

Thanks,
Anthony

Some time ago Rene himself posted links to a few of his own demo pieces. I've tried to find the post, but everything bar the last couple of months seems to have vanished from the forum.

As he offered us the files before, I can't see he'd mind people passing them on. I've still got a couple on my hard drive - want me to email them to you?

I just started using Dim Pro and love it. My first song (in progress) has strings, guitar and piano. You can listen to it at my website.

    Good luck!

As regards DimPro doing orchestral mock-ups there's a lot missing. I would look at something more targeted towards orchestra like Miroslav Philharmonik, Steinberg Halion Symphonic Orchestra, Garritan Personal Orchestra, or some of the bigger programs like Vienna Symphonic, East-West Quantum Leap, et al. Also check out NI's Kontakt 3.

DimPro has GPO (Garritan Pocket Orchestra) and (to the best of my recollection) libraries totaling 20-40 GBytes of Orchestra (with the 2 gratuitous expansion packs)

I do 90% of my instrumentals ('semi-orchestral' stuff) in DimPro and the other 10% with my Fantom Romplers.

DimPro is all I can handle (for now) ... albeit I wish it had more overdrive-guitar(s) ... though the Les-Paul guitars DimPro has are spicy enough for my ears.

While the huge DimPro library may be limited, it seems to have impeccable meaty sounds for all mainstream orchestral instruments.

Its fairly decent. It obviously isn't going to stand up against a real orchestra and if you're really, deeply into orchestrations then you are a maybe going to be a bit frustrated with its limitations compared to other, dedicated and huge libraries. But it has a massive range of instruments sounds from modern to traditional and likewise a good orchestral range.

There are a lot of possibles. If you got lots of money and a cutting edge box go for the show. But Dpro for my money is da bomb.

Small footprint and lots of options. You do need some ram as all samples do load into ram. But all the presets included are optimized. Sound quality is very good. As a starter Dpro simply can't be beat. If you grow into a full orchestra mock ups you'll want variety any way. so one set won't make or break you.
