File versioning changes and importing templates

I'm a regular user of the well debated versioning function. I'm currently making a project template for Kontakt and a sample set that may or may not get used by others( I do it to save others the hassle, basically).
This question on versioning is hypothetical, I know I don't HAVE to change the number of versions, just save as a different name. But, IF I change the number of versions after, say, using 5 as number of versions down to 2, even though thery're already saved - will I lose 3 versions?
Importing templates - If someone imports this template, will they be gaining all my Sonar attributes (colors, views, etc), or do they retain thier own - I've never done this. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks a lot! - Shep
