Sam, I'm assuming your in the USA - why not phone them up and see how long that offer runs for - as I said, that deadline is for delivery today, not for the offer. That will give us a bit of time to get some more opinions. I off out for a while [the pub is calling] but I'll check back as soon as I get back in.

Sam, I just thought - why not post your question [edit mine and use that if it sounds OK] in the 'Gear' Forum on this site? It could go in the 'Software' forum but they're not keen on double posting here - I reckon the Gear forum gets more traffic so I'd try it in there.

Somebody replied to your thread over on the Line 6 forum, I just ordered it! I'm sure it will more than suit my needs. I would like some help in a few days tweaking the settings on GTP3 because everything is at the default setting. In reading through some threads it sounds like I could benefit from some tweaking. Thanks again for all your help, Steve!

Sam - I think for your particular needs you've made the right decision - that is one hell of a value for money deal you got there. Looking forward to see how you're getting on with it!

Sam, check out the latest reply from Line6Jean in the other forum - it does come with the standalone Gearbox program so you will be able to record the effects straight into GT3 and tweak them all with those Silver and Gold plugins! I wish I could get that offer over here in the UK!

ORIGINAL: pistolpete Amplitube is a heap of crap. It's very noisey and inaccurate. Any other amp simulator will work far better. Inaccurate? ha ha! If you play G through Amplitube it will sound like an F.

Also, do you have any advice as to how I should tweak GTP3 or should I only mess with it if I have problems?

Sam, the offer's only good for the US and Canada by the look of it - thanks for the offer to help out but thinking about it, it's only really the Metal Pack I would really get any use out of and I can pay Line 6 direct to activate that. The main changes with GT will be to set it up to use the drivers that come with your gear - this should be quite straightforward Sam but let us know how you get on with your new stuff anyway. As far as the Line 6 side of things, make sure to register your product and run the 'Line 6 Monkey' application which connects you to the updates and add-ons pages on the website.

Hi Sam. There's another guy looking at a very similar offer on the Line 6 Gold Bundle that you were getting. I'm just wondering if you've got any feedback you could share on the gear you got. The thread is Direct Guitar. Thanks in advance Steve
