Sonar 7(slow response to commands)

Sonar 7 responds very slow to commands.Examples:scroll bars ,dropdown menus for EQ,FX,any basic command.
Menus freeze when they drop down.To activate them I have to click some other function. Never had this problem with Sonar 2.2 and windows XP.
My machine has plenty of muscle.
I'm runing a 2.4 gig wide buss processor with 3 gig of ram.
OS is windows vista with all updates.
I have all the updates for Sonar 7. What could the problem be?

For one, Sonar should not respond slow like you are reporting. In addition to Cj's requests - did you install Vista SP1? Have you disabled networking? Did you set priority to background services in Vista?

It would be helpful if you put some of your system specs in your signiture like Cj and me.
