Bug in CW forums? -every 100th letter is "ignored"
Hi and sorry for the cryptic subject. I'm just wondering if it's only me and my PC that has this particular problem on this particular forum. Every 100th letter or so I type gets "skipped" and not registered. It's so strange, because this is the only forum on the internet I experience this problem. Anyone out there with the same problem? Anyone out there with a solution? (far out there :))

I thought it was just my bad spelling maybe it's your browser? don't know if you use IE, try firefox (helps me with my bad spelling.. well some of the time) or the forum itself. other forums although they might look the same use a different engine. I haven't noticed to be honest.

I have discovered the source code in an obscure document. The evidence is pretty damning: while (*p != 0) { ccount++; if (ccount == 100) *p = ' '; /* ha ha ha ha ha ha */ p++; }
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

And now I'm back with in all my Safari glory. Actually this browser is very very good.... However I'd hoped that Internet Explorer would do my bidding... after all - they've taken all the good features from every other out there. However, now my problem seems to have disappeared... Guess it's the old IE then. Thanks for (inspiring) input :)

I'm wondering what made you think to count that many keystrokes in the first place. I have a natural suspicion of nice round numbers. That's why I always microwave my coffee to 57 seconds or a minute 3 secs. Instead of 1 minute. Yea .. I know... I'm a rebel

you shouldn't do that. microwaves are synced to complete one-half cycle per second. an odd number breaks the symmetry. you may get flat coffee.

Plus, 57 is three times the evil prime 19 [throws salt over his shoulder]. Just out of curiosity, what makes a number 'round' in your view?
