help!! I ruined my (EZDrummer) midi drum track!!

and i don't know how i did it..

still learning EZDrummer.... and basic midi editing in piano roll view...

i had a 'perfect' track laid out.....
LOL
and was going in and editing drum hits, for velocity, and adding strikes here and there...

i'm truely clueless about midi editing in piano roll, so i stick to the basics... til now.

somehow, i tweaked something without knowing or wanting to.
and on top of that, i saved it and quit the session, without knowing i had changed it, so now i can't UNDO.

when you drag and drop the ezdrummer loops into the midi track, it takes along with it, the HUMANIZE settings, and the velocity, or swing settings...

i had it set at the default (which i think is zero).

something happened, and now my snare drum track is just all over the place.

i'm so sad.

i've tracked for several days on top of the drum track, and now it's ruined.

is there any way for me to save it?

I'd have to be there with you to make sure but there's a possibility that you might have only shifted the snare hits one way or another. If that's the case you'd simply have to select the all the snare hits and then shift them to their former position.

The next thing I would tell you is to always save as "version 1", "version 2". If you have SONAR 7, you can set this up automatically.

    sonar 4 pe.

    nothing shifted.

it's as if i told the midi track to go 'full on' with the velocity sweep control from ezdrummer.

if you take ANY loop, and dial that sweep control on the EZD control panel, to full clockwise, THAT's what it sounds like now.
extra hits, just going to town!!
    LOL

Ok, check your velocity offset on the midi track. If the velocity offset is too high then ghosts strokes will start to sound like fills.

    well, i tried..

    and nothing worked.

i blew the track away, and started re-programming.

    at least everything lines up.....

Sorry to hear about your problem - the worst part is not knowing what caused it.
