Dimension LE uninstall

I'd appreciate advice on a safe way to uninstall Dimension LE from my Sonar 7P installation, running under WIN XP SP2. I don't see an uninstall routine on the product disc, and there's no specific routine under ADD/REMOVE just for Dim LE. Don't remember if the DIM LE installation was optional in the original S7 install, but I'd rather not reinstall Sonar just to find out.

(Reason: Going to install the full Dimension Pro, and I already have the Garritan products. So I want to eliminate the LE samples and associated files.)

Many thanks, Ron

rkl there is a way to use both, and it doesn't take much room, you basically install the multi-samples (which is the biggest part) in the same place.

it might be handy to keep LE incase you ever get a song that you want to use from elsewhere that just uses that.

it's mentioned on the sonar wiki, but alas I couldn't get that to work to find out. there is a way though to put both the LE versions + full version in the same place = saving a lot of space.

I'm sure that someone here has done it could post, or maybe the wiki is working now?

Thanks Fog, so far, I haven't found a recipe for either combining the two or simply removing the LE. I'd really like to do the latter and was hoping someone had done it. -Ron

Fog, thx for that link. (Missed it before. Was searching on "Dimension Pro" rather than "DimPro"; doh.) Also found relevant stuff in the P5 wiki, haven't rechecked the Sonar wiki yet.

I'm comfortable editing the registry at that level, and I want to install the DimPro multisamples on an external drive, so my plan now is to point DimLE at the Pro multisamples and also copy over any LE multisamples that do not come with Pro (if there are any), then eliminate the LE multisamples directory. If I'm reading the posts correctly, that'll leave both the Pro and LE engines each with their own programs but with a single sample source that either of them can read. (It'll also give me back over 800 meg hard drive.)

Tx again for the link and suggestions. -Ron

rkl , I'm in the same boat regarding my laptop drive. so it's of interest..

but the bulk of the size is the multi samples.. if they give me RX2 as multi samples also, it will make me happier still (the savings for that are massive)

It loads them into memory , so it don't matter too much about how fast they are to access initially.

I can't take the credit, techead can, although I'm sure there is something he? wrote for the wiki site (but can't seem to access that of late)
