Not in use cleanup

Is there a way to actually remove the not in use .wav files from your computer for good... it seems like in the actual song file if you choose to remove the files from there... they are still saved to your hard drive. I am just looking for a quick way to do this without accidentally removing an 'in use' file... because it seems the file break up in C:\Cakewalk Projects in a manner that doesn't seperate the IN USE from the NOT IN USE... I hope that there is some way to do this easily and that I am just ignorant.

Sorry if someone covered this in a different thread... i tried to search it out but found nothing relating.

Thanks

I thought by just selecting the "delete all not in use", deleted everything that you where not using? all of your patterns that are in use, show up in its own little folder on the pattern browser. and under it is the not in use patterns. all the way to the right, there are I think two icons,..one to delete, and one to delete all not in use.

I don't think i ever had a problem with it keeping the files?

Thank you B Rock, i did not even notice that check box on your Option 1. I was doing the delete all not in use for option 2 but all the files were still on my HD. Thanks again
