Session Drummer 1?
Hi Gang... Can someone please remind me how to get the original Session Drummer (1) working again? I don't use or care for the new session drummer and have lots of use for the original still... I remember we had to do something... renaming.... d/l a special copy to re-install? But as usual these days, I remember very little.... Love Ya' Keni ...In Exile

Hi Keni, Don't know how to get the original session drummer back off hand, but I guess you could install the previous version of Sonar that originally had it and access it that way. Both versions could reside on your computer rig with no problems. It is possible that maybe you could also access the original session drummer from your latest version if Sonar could find/scan it upon startup. It's worth a shot...Besides, I wanted you to feel better since no one responded to your post (I know how that feels).
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left... http://daveowenmusic.com/http://fabulous52s.com/https://soundcloud.com/daveowenmusic Sonar Platinum Edition/Cakewalk by BandLab: Dell 8700 XPS i7 16GB RAM, Cyberpower laptop w/8GB RAM/i7/2GB NVidia card/Tascam US1641/Focusrite 18i6/Melodyne Studio 4/Waves Plugs (a lot)/Garritan/EWQL Symphony Silver & Fab 4 and a bunch of other stuff. I have the original SD from Sonar 4 and never had to do anything special to get it to work - it worked fine from the install. maybe the problems you guys are remembering are from earlier versions of sonar?

No... I seem to remember something about a new dll as well but after installing any version with SD2, SD1 will no longer "normally" load.... I've got all the original Sonars but SD1 doesn't work (I just suffered a major pc crash losing 4 out of 5 drives on two machines simultaneously <sigh>) Thanks All Love Ya'

I'd offer to send you the file (if you PM me your e-mail address), but my SONAR machine is having a brain transplant at the moment.

I probably haven't even tried SD1 since upgrading to S6, so it might not work on mine either!

If you have Sonar 5 you can try this: Run the Sonar 5 setup and install only the Session Drummer MIDI plug-in. Be sure to install it into your current Shared Midi Plugins folder. This thread may help: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=895614

Love Ya' Keni The default SONAR installation puts Sessndrm.dll in ...Plugins\Shared MIDI Plugins. On my system, it's C:\Music\Plugins\MIDI, but that's because I pretty much rearrange everything.
