Hey, Steve, it looks like you've created your own map. is that what you intended to do? and you're saying that Nutty's not on YOUR map?

Freeze - I know that information can be used against anyone.

If you're not in Georgia, then what difference would it make if you put Georgia on the map next to your forum name?

My point is and continues to be that this map is not any more harmful than logging onto this forum. the information you give when you sign onto the forum is just as available as if you put it on a map like the frappr one.

In fact, ANYONE could go RIGHT NOW and put FREEZE1ST on the map in Georgia. Because THAT information is ALREADY AVAILABLE.

Not quite Beagle - I open up the Cakewalk map from the link in your first post, not one of my own.

I think I accidentally edited Nutty away from my 'view' of the map in an attempt to get rid of the adjacent visitor that was mentioned.

I've deactivated my original account but I still appear on the map not only to myself but to Nutty - it seems like some sort of 'cookies' are in operation either on my PC or when I access the Cakewalk map that carries on re-instaing my push-pin and ignoring Nutty's.

Or maybe I've given too much info away and someone is making this happen [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Would you be willing to 'refresh' your pushpin by using the 'Edit pin' dialogue to see if I get you back Nutty?
Steve

Okay done! I moved myself to Ottawa (closest city). Hopefully this works.

I plead ignorance! I simply edited my push pin. I "moved to the city" and changed it to my hotmail account that I use for cases where I might get spammed. Other than that nothing!

No wonder I always feel so lost

Nutty

I just checked and I'm still there (for me anyway).

I can't see you anymore either, Annette? Of course, Canada's a pretty big place. Easy to get lost up there.

Wow and we just rid of the snowbanks too, so you think it would be easier to find me

I'm still there when I go to the site. I guess I'll try and rejoin.

Nutty

There must be some kind of cookie or something, since it won't let me join. I appear on the map when I go to the site. When I click on the members list, I am not there. However, when I go to photos my picture is there. So, doesn't look like there is anything I can do. Can you do anything as an administrator Beagle? If not, you'll just have to remember lonely ole me over in Canada, apparently all by myself.

What have I done?

Everything's gone south [or more correctly north] since I started mucking about..

Apologies if it is my fault folks.

Maybe we'll have to start over if everyone else is disappearing? Cakewalk2?

Everyone still shows up on mine though. I don't think I did anything.

Hi Amateur,

I'm in Carleton Place. We lived in Ottawa for 14 years before moving to the "country". I play guitar as well and have just gotten into songwriting and now trying some recording. I very new at this too. I use Band In A Box and was using PowerTracks, but have recently been trying out MC 4. I like it, but I'm a lot slower at it than I like. Although I am trying to do many things at once. I've played guitar over 30 years, self taught, mostly open chords, so now I'm trying to learn the fancy stuff like fingerpicking, writing riffs, fill ins, a bit of lead maybe, so I have been busy trying to memorize the fretboard! Can't wait to get back to recording. (That's why I haven't been posting a lot of dumb questions lately guys )

You can always catch up with me off line at nuttysplace-AT-gmail-DOT-com. (remove hyphens and replace caps)

Nice to meet you. Based on an earlier post I read, I'm only a few years older than you. Having another one of those this week Well, I must admit, it is good in the sense that I get more music gear! Shop, shop shop!!!
