Updated BIOS - 2 new problems while just trying to raise RAM

I have posted before on that ''seeing only 3 GB'' on a dual-boot PC (Vista 64bit and XP Pro 32bit). Just to recap before explaining new issues:

- ASUS MB P5B, had 2 GB RAM - added another 2GB, was seeing 3 under Viata and 2.93 under XP...
- Did the Memory remap thing, then got 4GB under Vista, but lowered to 2GB under XP...

Now, I was told elsewhere to update BIOS on this MONO, which I did tonight. As I was now seeing 2.93 under XP and 3007 MB under Vista, I did the Memory Remap enable again (was wiped during BIOS update I guess...). Then, 2 new problems :

1) I still only see 3007 MB under Vista... (even with Mem remap enabled), and
2) totally different issue, but I no longer see the eSATA (external) drive under VISTA, while I see it if I boot under XP...

Any ideas for these 2 problems ?

Thanks again guys,

Robert

Forget about the RAM question : Memory remap had not been enabled as I thought. Now it is.

The eSATA issue under Vista remains. I will post another message...
