No problem, Rob.
I have the passive version. They make an active version with the same designation.
I love 'em. You do need a seperate power amp capable of supplying 120-150 watts per channel, with 4 ohm outs.
Don't try to drive them with an 8 ohm amp. They WILL eat it. (This is true of any 4ohm speakers)
I drive them with a Samson Servo 300 power amp. It's a nice combnation.
The 6 1/2" woofers are not huge, but have a strong enough low end that the lower frequencies are well represented without a subwoofer. Good detail on the sound, and most importantly, they give a representation of my mixes that I can trust. what I hear in the studio translates well to any other system that I have been able to play the tracks back on.
If you have a suitable power amp, or don't mind spending about $200 on one, I think you would like these.
If you are looking at the active version, they have slightly less power, but appear to be built with the same drivers.
