Prisoner of Love

Hey guys and gals!

Just wanted to post this one up. We did a songwriting challenge on iMusicScene.com not long ago where the lyrics were provided by Carol Douglas. Everyone then just wrote a song based on her lyrics. Was kind of a fun exercise because I usually write music first and then add in lyrics and vocals after the fact. Big props to Kent aka VenueStudio for his mixing skills. He has been doing a lot of mixes for people on iMS so kudos to him for being the team player!

Neat concept on getting different point of view songs from the same lyrics. I really should try to spend some time over there. Frankly the dark background on the site kills my eyes after a few minutes.

wonderful song btw. Mixed very well.

Well done! You sing very well. Mix sounds fantastic.

EDIT - I ended up playing this a few times. I really enjoyed it. Really great tune.

Really pretty ballad. Good vox and playing. Turned into more than an exercise 'eh?

Excellent clarity and definition in the mix. Good balance too. Really liking the tones of the acoustic and the bass, very complementary tones, bass has that subtle edge that gives a cool nuanced expression. Vocals are good too. Nice work, very well done.
