Why no Celtics/Lakers posts?
As a sports fan it deeply saddens me that the Boston-native CW have not had any threads celebrating the imminent historic triumph for the Celtics...  Personally i don't like basketball, but as England aren't in the European Football championships, need something to latch onto... No fans out there? And is this the reason why no 7.1/7.2/7.5 yet??!!

mgh.. aren't you suprised at the big names aren't doing so well? italy germany wonder who else, not being following it too much.. although my friend is supporting Croatia (might have something to do with one of their team being on the spurs team..hehe) I thought you'd have been in Italy at a certain wedding.. jeez 5 mill on a wedding.. 100k on a dress. all right for some..hehe

Basketball would be way more interesting if it was like Rollerball. All countries would duke out their differences on a court. Oh, and the ball was 20 lbs. And there were motorcross bikes there. And there were no penalties, not substitutions, and no time limits.
Then, if say the Iranians and the Israelis had issues, they could take them to the court.

Sports would be so much more interesitng if the outcome mattered. For now, I will just stick with synchronized swimming.

Sports would be so much more interesitng if the outcome mattered. Obviously you have never witnessed a Finland vs. Norway curling match. One mis-sweep of the ice can mean the end for even the tallest, most vikingest prime minister.
